Off-Road Disclaimer, Refund & Return Policy
⚠️ Section 1: Off-Road & Competition Use Only Disclaimer
Many products manufactured, fabricated, and sold by TruBlu Welding + Fabrication—including but not limited to custom drop visors, stainless mitre hood stacks, traction bars, coil plates, and custom builder components—are designed, engineered, and intended exclusively for off-road, closed-course competition, or show use only.
By purchasing from TruBlu, the buyer explicitly acknowledges, understands, and agrees to the following terms:
-
Legal Compliance: The buyer assumes 100% of the responsibility for ensuring that any modification made to their vehicle complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, highway safety acts, noise ordinances, and emissions regulations.
-
Liability Waiver: TruBlu Welding + Fabrication, its owner (Jordan Godshall), and any affiliates are not liable for any vehicle damage, manufacturer warranty voids, personal injury, property damage, legal fines, or punitive damages resulting from the installation, use, or misuse of our products.
-
Professional Installation Recommended: Because these are heavy-duty and high-performance components, we strongly recommend that all fabrications be installed by qualified, professional technicians. The buyer assumes all risk associated with self-installation.
📦 Section 2: Made-To-Order Refund & Cancellation Policy
TruBlu is proudly operated as a one-man custom fabrication shop. I do not carry an inventory of mass-produced, pre-made items sitting on a shelf. Every single item built here is strictly made-to-order specifically for you, tailored to your order specs.
Because raw materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) are sourced, cut, and allocated immediately to keep the shop schedule moving, I enforce a strict, zero-exception refund policy:
-
The Strict 24-Hour Cutoff: Cancellations and full refunds are ONLY accepted within 24 hours of your initial purchase time.
-
All Sales Are Final: Once that 24-hour window closes, your order is locked directly into the fabrication queue. Beyond this point, material has been cut and labor has begun. No refunds, cancellations, returns, or product exchanges will be granted for any reason, including buyer’s remorse, changing your mind, or selling your vehicle.
-
Fitment Responsibility: It is the buyer's sole responsibility to ensure that the part ordered fits their specific year, make, model, and aftermarket setup. I cannot issue refunds for incorrect fitment ordered by the customer.
🎨 Section 3: Material, Finish & Fabrication Variance Notice
Because everything bearing the TruBlu name is handcrafted, buyers should be aware of the standard characteristics of custom metalwork:
-
Raw Metal Products: If you order a product in a "raw" or unpainted finish, it may feature minor surface handling marks, light scuffs, or mill scale. This is completely standard for raw steel or aluminum and is not a defect. It is the buyer’s responsibility to paint, powder-coat, or seal raw components to prevent natural rusting or oxidation upon delivery.
-
Handcrafted Variance: Minor variations in custom, handcrafted weld beads or slight cosmetic differences are a natural part of the custom fabrication process. These unique traits do not compromise the structural integrity of the build and are not grounds for a return or replacement.
🛠️ Section 4: Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Shipments
I take immense pride in my work, and I thoroughly inspect every weld, joint, and bend before your order is boxed up. If I make a genuine mistake on your build, or if it is defective, I will step up and make it right.
-
48-Hour Inspection Window: You must inspect your package immediately upon arrival. Any structural manufacturing defects, incorrect parts, or transit damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
-
How to Report a Claim: Email jordangodshall@trubluservice.com within that 48-hour timeframe. You must include your order number, a clear description of the defect, and high-resolution photos of the product, the weld/issue in question, and the shipping box.
-
Resolution: If an item is verified to have a manufacturing defect or you were sent the incorrect item, I will repair or replace the component at my discretion and cover the necessary return shipping costs.
-
Exclusions: This policy does not cover damage caused by improper installation, modification, abuse, highway use, accidents, or standard wear and tear.
🚚 Section 5: Shipping, Lost Packages, and Carrier Liability
-
Carrier Responsibility: Once a package leaves the TruBlu shop and is scanned by the shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS), physical liability for the item transfers entirely to the carrier.
-
Damage in Transit: If your package arrives visibly damaged or crushed by the carrier, please take photos of the box before opening it. Contact me at jordangodshall@trubluservice.com immediately so we can initiate a carrier insurance claim.
-
Stolen/Lost Packages: TruBlu is not responsible for packages that are stolen from your porch or property after being marked as "Delivered" by the carrier.
